Don't Sweat the Small Stuff...(Well I'm Trying)

So much has been whipping around in my head lately. When I come up for a breath my focus is "don't sweat the small stuff." So how do you think I go about doing that...especially with such a type A personality. Well it has taken years of marriage, four kids, countless moves and upheaval in our life. I can attest for my family that I haven't come far...but I try!

I think about this today because while I was having the crappiest day I was also have a glorious day! Nothing really all that different then any other day...
1. My 2 year old (destructor) decides to cover himself in lotion head to toe!
2. My 3 month old (sunshine) starts to giggle for the first time!
3. My 10 year old (princess) has to go to the doctor, well all 5 of us have to go since school was cancelled.
4. Doctor's visit goes horrible because the 2 LOs(little ones) want to cry the whole time and the 2 OOs(older ones) want to whine the whole time.
5. We get home and the 2 LOs have fallen asleep from all the crying so I get 1 hour to have tea and finish my book!
6. The destructor wakes up to find that it has started snowing. The look on his face is so priceless!
7. The 2 OOs are just as excited about the 1st real snowfall this year!

After all that, what is it that you remember?? I remember being there to hear my little sunshine giggle for the first time and the look on destructor's face as he sees the snow fall! Eberything else seems to have melted away. That is how I "don't sweat the small stuff." I may not be perfect at it but know at the end of the day what is really important in my life!

I am trying to embrace the chaos in my life, pick my battles, and know what I can and cannot control. You can take that as a life lesson and a business lesson. When you look back at the past what do you remember those highs or those lows? Most will look back and remember those highs and look forward with a smile on their face!

New Year, New You!

This New Year has brought in a whole new me...(well technically it started in Dec.)

Our family has always done alot of activities but it seems since giving birth to my fourth child in Oct our life has become a whirwind of nonstop catch-up. I was having no time to myself and at constant odds at what had to get done first and what could wait until tomorrow. As this overwhelming feeling began to take over me I decided it was time to change a few things!

Everyone around here has more responsibilities. I have realized I am not the only one here to get things done. We have also implemented a new tv routine. The pholosophy that tv is earned and not a right. They earn 1/2 hour show for finishing all their homework in a timely manner. Which, can be traded for other electronic time. That's it during the week. We have had some uprising about this but I'm the parent right;)

The biggest change has been my dedication to have an active and healthy family. I have put health and fitness first in my life and began a whole family lifestyle change when it comes to eating. So far it has gone well! Fitness for all of us is something that we like to do, the eating part comes a bit harder. Luckily I have my husband on my side who is also looking to change things!

With this new lifestyle also came the start of our new business. Both Kris and I have become Independent Beachbody coaches. We want to take our revelations and share them with others out there. We have both been using Beachbody products for about 2 years and love what they stand for!

Anyways, I hope you continue to follow my blog, all the craziness it contains, and get some helpful information to help transform your life as well!
