For the past 60+ days I have been doing Insanity! Insanity is a 60 day total body conditioning program. Shaun T is such a great motivator, each workout I felt like he was pushing me just that little bit harder. I have had great results with the program...In total I have lost 17lbs. and 7 1/2in. Additionally, I feel so much stronger and have so much more energy!
The cool thing about this program is that it uses interval training to the MAX. Instead of short bursts of high intensity and longer periods of rest he uses long periods of high intensity followed by short periods of rest. I have to be honest, at first it was hard for me to get use to it. However, towards the end of week 2 I began to get in a rhythm with the workouts and kept pushing myself harder. By month 2 I was ready for the MAX workouts and loved those even more. I have never done a workout program where I have felt so empowered and challenged at the same time!
I did have some pitfalls of my own...with 4 little ones running around I stay busy to say the least. I had to push myself to wake up in the morning before everyone else to workout. Sometimes this worked for me and sometimes it didn't Waking in the middle of the night to feed an infant makes it hard to wake at 5:30am for such an intense workout. My biggest pitfall was my nutrition. I can't give any 1 reason why, it just is what it is. I start each day with an active goal to do better then I did the day before. I did have great results but know that I could have had better results with healthier eating habits!
Overall, Insanity is not for the weak at heart but those wanting a true tranformation it does the trick. You have to believe that you can do it, dig deeper, and keep pushing play!!
